As a fruit trading company based in Lahr, we not only bear responsibility for fresh produce, but also for the region in which we live and work.
Education is particularly important to us. That’s why we have sponsored access to the alphaben reading app for pupils at Gutenberg School in Lahr. The app helps children learn to read in a playful way and encourages them to have fun with language through motivating exercises.
The project was officially launched at a joint meeting with Liliane Llombart and Philipp Nußbaum from Llombart GmbH, Markus Singler, Managing Director of alphaben, and Sarah Heitzmann, Headmistress of Gutenberg School. It was a great event, during which the school management, teachers and pupils took a lot of time for a moving exchange and showed us around the school.
We were particularly touched by the lovingly crafted thank-you card from the pupils – a real highlight and a beautiful gesture of appreciation.
We are delighted to be able to give a small but important boost to reading promotion in Lahr with this contribution. After all, good education is like good fruit – it ripens with love, care and support.
