We are starting 2023 with big changes in the new year. With great joy and zest for action, we have decided to expand our field of business and take over the business units of Arnold GmbH Obst- und Gemüsegroßhandel on 1 January 2023.
We can look back on more than 60 years of experience in this business and remember how it all began with citrus fruits from Juan’s home in Nules/Castellón, Spain. The previous core business was the import of fruit from Spain, France and Italy. Those who know us know how much we live and love our business.
Since 2016, we already have our own cultivation area in Spain and produce citrus fruits, grapes and garlic there. For these and many other reasons, we enjoy appreciation of our constant reliability and quality. Therefore, the step to complement our portfolio with German, regional products was only logical.
One of our two fruit departments is moving completely to Friesenheim: Lena Trautwein, Marcel Hentschel and their team will serve wholesale markets, wholesalers, farm shops, weekly markets and catering customers with citrus fruits, berries, pome fruits, stone fruits and exotics from there. This means that our varied assortment from Spain and France will now be joined by German products from regional producers.
We can hardly believe our luck and are looking forward to the fruits that this new chapter will bear!
