Sustainability
Mission – Vision – Values
Our sustainability journey
As a traditional family business that trades in natural products, sustainability is particularly important to us. We are committed to our fruit and vegetables and to a future worth living on a healthy planet. Health is our mission, in the here and now and for future generations. This is firmly anchored in our mission statement and our values. Our aim is to act responsibly and with the future in mind – socially, ecologically and economically. Follow our sustainability journey and how we are actively working towards an environmentally conscious and fair future.
Ecological sustainability
As a long-standing family business in its third generation, ecological sustainability is also at the centre of everything we do. Our business is fruit and vegetables – natural products whose quality and availability depend directly on a healthy environment. The protection of natural resources is an integral part of our work at Llombart. An intact natural environment is the basis for people’s health and the stability of our entire economic system. That is why we are consciously committed to doing business in such a way that future generations – our grandchildren – can also live in an intact environment and operate and live successfully. Because only a healthy system can bear fruit in the long term – for nature, people and the economy.
Social sustainability
Economic sustainability
For us, economic sustainability means doing business in a responsible and future-orientated way. As a family business with a long-term planning horizon, we focus on stability and consistency in order to remain successful in the future. We invest in modern technologies, efficient logistics and sustainable processes in order to conserve resources and remain competitive at the same time. Through transparent business relationships and fair partnerships, we create an economic foundation that not only strengthens our company, but also promotes value creation along the entire supply chain. The economy of tomorrow can no longer be thought of without sustainability – because only a sustainable company can be successful in the long term.
Corporate carbon footprint at Llombart
For now and for posterity
The Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) records the total CO₂ emissions generated by our business activities. By calculating our CCF, we gain a clear picture of our environmental impact and can take targeted measures to reduce our emissions. Our aim is to continuously reduce these emissions in order to minimise our environmental footprint and contribute to climate protection. Our climate targets and progress on our sustainability journey are documented transparently in accordance with the guidelines of the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) and are now also published in our latest impact report.

Vision: Our vision is to sustainably establish ourselves as a wholesale company for fruit and vegetables. We strive for a high degree of flexibility in our organisation in order to be able to respond adequately to current and future challenges in our dynamic environment.

Values: Our values are based on integrity, respect and equality to create a fair and respectful working environment. Through innovation, teamwork and customer-orientation, we strive for continuous, reflected growth, in harmony with our natural resources, which must be protected. As a family business, we also emphasise authenticity and work-life balance.

Partnerships: Our most important asset: satisfied employees, satisfied customers and satisfied connoisseurs. Llombart sells fruit that is healthy and tasty. We are professionals when it comes to fruit and vegetables and have been an important partner for fruit for over 60 years. Our particular speciality is citrus fruit. We have our own plantations in Spain, where we test varieties and harvest our own oranges. We are also well positioned regionally and supply our customers with regional fruit and vegetables. We always act as sustainably as possible, working and living our mission in harmony with nature. Since 2016, Llombart has planted more than 200,000 trees. In this way, we give something back to nature and can continue to harvest first-class fruit from it.
